Around 2012, my father and I were at our office building when our central air conditioner’s drain line clogged and overflowed. The water damaged drywall, trim, and carpet, which was a huge mess to clean up. While we were shop-vacuuming the outside line and blowing air through the inside unit, we both thought, “There has to be a better way! There has to be something to help prevent this from happening again!”

That moment sparked the idea that became Clear Drain: a smarter, easier way to maintain air conditioning drain lines. We began experimenting with prototypes, materials, and safe treatment formulas designed to address the real-world problem of clogged AC drains. After several design changes and countless tests, we perfected and patented the Clear Drain unit and cartridge system that’s now trusted nationwide.
